The general objective of the Diploma course is to ensure that upon successful completion of their studies, studens will be competent to embark on a career in logistics and transportation and to occupy key managerial and operational positions in this sector. To this effect the course offers specialised study units that include Managing Logistics and Transportation Operations, Economics and Finance of Logistics and Transportation, Transportation Law, Transportation Policy and Planning, Logistics and Supply Chain, Inventory and Warehouse Management and Geographic Information Systems. These are complemented by a number of management related study-units, for example, HR Management, Health and Safety, Quantitative Techniques, Service Quality Assurance, Organisational Behaviour and Management Information Systems
