The TestDaF is an advanced level language exam. It covers levels B2 to C1 of the scale of the six levels of competence of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
The certificate issued upon successful completion of the four sections of the TestDaF examination at TestDaF level 4 attests to the language skills necessary for admission to almost all subjects and courses at universities and colleges in Germany. The TestDaF language examination is also internationally recognized proof that your knowledge of German is sufficient to carry out scientific projects and gain access to academic professions.
No specialist knowledge is required to take the exam.
